Six more weeks till spring should take us to March 16th ~ Your Stars figured this out during calendar time. Our link this month is very long, as it contains some events from January ( talent show ~good job Caroline, Imani, and Kameron!) Also some photos from our January Birthdays :-).
We continue to have Science Buddies with Ms.Anderson's class. We are going sky high into our Constructions unit. As you see, we may have the best kept secrete for future architechs. We have incorporated Motor Challenge into our centers on Thursdays. Please contact Kelly Delp if you are available to help @ [email protected] Speaking of Science... a big shout out to Camilo Ojeda and Luke Bunnell, two Stars who participated, individually in the Science Fair.
We have many readers in Kindergarten who are more than eager and capable to share their stories with our class. Many of our classmates enjoy sharing their talents and gifts in the classroom, while others are just as comfortable on the big stage. Woot, woot to Caloline, Imani, and Kameron for auditioning and performing in the Thurston Talent Show. We are clearly a group of children who love to shine! Go Stars!
What a nice visit from one of my former students, Harris. He came to teach our Kinders how to make Rainbow loom bracelets and rings.
Our Reading Buddies came to our class and worked on a project in honor of Dr. King.
In Math Centers we are writing our numbers 1-100 ~ getting ready for our 100th day celebration, which will happen on Monday, February 24. We are also learning math facts of five and ten, and using dominoes to practice computation, learning the value and recognizing a penny, nickle, dime and quarter, as well as an introduction to calculators.
